Lost: 2x04 - Everybody Hates Hugo

  • Michael, Sawyer, and Jin are released from the pit after Ana-Lucia and Mr. Eko conclude that they were all on Oceanic 815 together
    • Libby joins in and helps take them to a super crappy hatch where the surviving Tailies have been staying
      • Bernard is there; He asks about Rose
  • Jack puts Hurley in charge of inventorying the food in the pantry
    • Hurley worries about becoming unpopular and decides to blow up the pantry with the remaining dynamite; Rose convinces him not to
      • Hurley distributes the food to everyone
  • Sayid and Jack explore the foundation of the hatch; Jack walks in on Kate showering
  • FLASHBACK: Hurley
    • Hurley found out he won the lottery, but kept it a secret so he could have one last day of fun before everything changed

  • A large black man knocks out Sawyer, Michael, and Jin with a huge stick and then throws them in a big pit

    • Jack and Locke watch an old Dharma Initiative film about how the world will end if The Numbers aren't entered into the computer every 108 minutes
    • Desmond freaks out over the busted computer and runs off into the jungle
    • Sayid fixes the computer; Locke and Jack take over entering The Numbers

    • Walt's mother wanted Michael to give up his parental rights, so that Brian could adopt Walt
      • Michael decided to fight it, but then changed his mind and let Walt go

    • Everyone finds out Tommy had and affair with Lena and that Justin is still sleeping with her; Julia reveals that she also had an affair
    • McCallister tells Kitty that he wants to wait to have kids together
    • Isaac asks Nora out on a date
  • Rebecca bonds with David; Holly assures Rebecca that David isn't her father
  • McCallister speaks about his 'heroism' to a group of veterans, it goes over well
    • Isaac wants to expose a rival politician's developmentally disabled son; McCallister refuses; Nonetheless, the truth comes out and the guy drops out of the presidential race, making McCallister the front runner
  • Jason is returning to the US and wants to have lunch with Kevin; Graham makes lunch for Sarah

  • The Big Rock is an old slave ship; Jack, Kate, Locke enter it and retrieve the dynamite
    • Artz demonstrates how to safely transport the unstable dynamite and accidentally blows himself up
    • On the way to the hatch, The Monster attacks; Locke approaches it; The Monster grabs Locke by the foot and drags him through the jungle and tries to pull him down a hole
      • Kate throws a stick of the dynamite down the hole; The Monster disappears in a few puffs of black smoke
    • The dynamite is rigged up on the hatch; Hurley sees The Numbers on the hatch; Hurley freaks and tries to put out the lit fuse; He fails
    • The hatch is opened to reveal a very deep shaft
  • A hysterical Rousseau returns to the camp; Claire has flashbacks of scratching Rousseau's arm; Rousseau takes the baby
    • Sayid and Charlie go after the baby, which Claire has named Aaron
      • They come across the small plane crash; Charlie snags a heroin-filled Virgin Mary statue
      • Charlie gets tricked by a decoy baby and a load of rocks is dumped on his head; Sayid fixes him up
      • Sayid and Charlie locate the source of the pillar of black smoke; Rousseau is there with Aaron; She wanted to trade Aaron for Alex
        • Rousseau claims to have heard The Others say that they were coming for the boy
    • Charlie returns Aaron to Claire
  • The gang on the raft bonds; Jin gives the watch to Michael
    • The radar picks up a signal; Michael sets off a flare; A small fishing boats approaches them and demands "the boy"
      • They take Walt; Sawyer is shot; The raft is destroyed by a grenade
  • FLASHBACKS occur from the time just before Oceanic Flight 815 departed
    • In the airport bathroom, Jin ran into a white Korean-speaking guy who works for Sun's father
      • He knew that Jin was trying to run away and told him to deliver a watch to someone in California
    • Michael called his mother and asked her to take care of Walt; Walt overheard the conversation
    • Hurley just barely made the flight in time; He was frantic to be able to make it home in time for his mother's birthday

    • Jack, Kate, Locke, Hurley, Rousseau, and Artz head out towards the Black Rock

    • The Black Rock is an old-school sailing ship
  • The raft is prepared for departure
    • Jack gives Sawyer a gun; Sawyer tells him about meeting Jack's father in the bar
    • Walt gives Vincent to Shannon; Sun gives Jin a book of helpful English phrases
    • Sayid sets up radar and a radio transmitter on the raft
    • Michael, Walt, Sawyer, and Jin set off on the raft

    • Jack met a girl, Ana-Lucia, at the airport bar
    • Sawyer was being deported for getting in a bar-fight with an important Aussie politician
    • Kate only stole the toy plane during the bank robbery; The Marshal had used it as bait to catch her
    • At the airport, Sayid asked Shannon to watch his bag; Shannon reported Sayid for leaving his bags unattended to prove her bitchiness to Boone
    • Sun accidentally spilt coffee on Jin at the airport

    • When Kate visited her mother, her mother freaked out and security was alerted; Tom helped her escape
      • Kate crashed the car during the escape; Tom was killed; Kate fled the scene

    • The BSG returns to their last position and uses computer networking to figure out where the Fleet jumped to
      • Cylon Raiders attack the BSG; One Raider crashes right into the BSG; Cylons sneak into the BSG via a hole in the hull
    • The crew calculates the other location; The BSG jumps and is reunited with the rest of the Fleet
  • The gang on Kobol leave the crash, forgetting a medi-kit, which is need to save Socinus; Tyrol, Cally and Targ are sent back for it
    • Targ is killed by Cylon artillery on the way back
  • Helo stops Starbuck from killing Other-Boomer; Other-Boomer steals Starbuck's Raider and takes off
  • Boomer gets thrown in the brig; Tigh questions Boomer; She claims to know nothing; Tigh beats her up but can't bring himself to shoot her
  • A lowly medic keeps Adama alive, as the Fleet's doctor is on another ship
  • Tigh has flashbacks from when he and Abama were young
  • Six tells Gauis about his supposed upcoming daughter-to-be

  • Locke and Boone try to crack the hatch's window using a trebuchet; It doesn't work
    • Locke starts to loose feeling and ability in his legs; He believes that he needs to give the island something to get his legs back
  • Locke has a vision of a small plane crashing, a bloody Boone, and being back in a wheelchair; Locke and Boone head toward the site of the phantom crash
    • A dead and decayed body, dressed in priest's clothing, falls out of a tree; There is Nigerian currency and a gun on the body
    • They find a small plane in a tree; Locke makes Boone climb into the plane; The plane is full of Virgin Mary statues filled with heroin
      • Boone tries the radio and briefly makes contact with someone who claims to also be among the survivors of flight 815; Then the plane falls out of the tree
        • Locke brings a severely injured Boone to Jack; Locke lies about how Boone got hurt
  • Locke cries and pounds on the glass; A light turns on inside the hatch
  • Sawyer is getting headaches; Jack diagnoses him as far-sighted; Sayid builds him some glasses out of 2 broken pairs
  • FLASHBACK - Locke
    • Locke's crazy mother, who gave him up for adoption, tracked him down; Locke tracked down his biological father
    • Locke's father bonds with Locke and then scams Locke out of one of his kidneys

  • Hurley sees The Numbers written repeatedly in Rousseau's papers
    • Hurley follows the cable alone into the jungle to find Rousseau; Jack and Sayid catch up with him
      • The cable eventually goes into the ground, near a rope bridge
    • Jack trips a wire and blows up Rousseau's former camp
    • Hurley is caught by Rousseau; She heard the numbers over a transmission emitting from the island
      • Hurley is relieved to learn that The Numbers have also ruined Rousseau's life; She gives him a battery
  • Locke builds Claire a cradle for the baby
  • The Numbers are written on the hatch
  • FLASHBACK - Hurley
    • Hurley won the lottery using The Numbers; Afterwards Hurley got super unlucky and concluded that The Numbers were cursed
    • Hurley visited his friend, Leonard, in a mental hospital; He repeats The Numbers all day long; Leonard heard them from and Australian named Sam
      • Hurley went to Australia to visit Sam; Sam's wife said he heard The Numbers while monitoring radio static in the Pacific
        • Sam used the numbers to win a contest; Afterwards he had bad luck until he ended up committing suicide with a shotgun

    • As a child, Sawyer's father killed his mother and then committed suicide
    • An associate of Sawyer's claimed to have tracked down the original Sawyer
      • Sawyer followed the lead to Australia, bought a gun, and met Jack's father in a bar; Jack's father was proud of his son
      • Sawyer shot supposed original Sawyer and gave him the letter before he died
        • However, he was just some guy that owed Sawyer's associate money

    • Jack and Locke develop a plan to defend against Ethan
      • One of the survivors, Scott, is brutally attacked and killed
    • Claire is used as bait in an attempt to capture Ethan
      • Jack, Locke, Sawyer, Sayid, and Kate take the guns and hide in the jungle; Jack and Ethan fight; Jack wins
        • After Ethan is subdued, Charlie shoots Ethan dead
  • FLASHBACK: Charlie
    • Charlie hooked up with a rich girl to score drug money following the demise of Drive Shaft
      • Charlie stole her father's antique cigarette case, but got caught after puking and passing out from withdrawal on his first day of selling photocopiers for her father

  • Tom and all the Scavo kids are rescued from McCluskey's basement; Ida is dead; Sylvia is also found dead in the wake of the tornado
    • Ida sacrificed herself by letting all the kids stay under the stairs
    • Lynette steals Ida's ashes to honour her last wishes and spreads them on a baseball field
  • Carlos lost his sight and is in the hospital
  • Nathan finds out one of Katherine's secrets, which was written in the note Katherine's aunt dropped, and leaves; Dylan also reads the note
  • Susan lets Bree, Orson, and the baby move in temporarily and turn her house into a domestic wonderland
    • Bree tries to set up Andrew with a contractor, so he will fix their house
  • Victor's father tells Gabby that Victor left nothing for her in his will and then kicks her out of his funeral
    • Gabby tries to figure out how to get into Carlos' offshore account, but fails

  • Julie gets drunk at a party after seeing Saracen and Carlotta making out
    • Riggins takes her home and helps her into bed; Eric misreads the situation and throws Riggins out of his house
  • Landry asks Tyra to the fall formal; Instead, she goes with the Laribee QB
    • Tyra tells Landry that she really likes him, but she needs some time
  • Lyla's mother announces she's engaged to Kevin; Buddy tries to win his ex-wife back, but it doesn't work

  • A search party goes after Claire and Charlie, assumed to have been abducted by Ethan
    • Jack runs into Ethan, who kicks his ass and warns Jack to stop following him or either Claire or Charlie will be killed
    • Kate and Jack find Charlie, blin hanging from a tree
      • Jack gives him CPR and is able to revive him after pounding on his chest a bunch of times
    • Boone and Locke find steel embedded in the ground; They start digging
  • FLASHBACK: Jack
    • Jack's father, Christian, was operating under the influence, so Jack took over; The patient died anyhow
      • Christian tried to cover it up, Jack reluctantly went along with it
    • In the hearing, Jack learned the patient was pregnant, so he then testified that Christian's impairment caused her death

Lost: 1x09 - Solitary

  • Sayid finds a cable running into the ocean; He follows it and gets caught in a booby trap
    • Sayid is captured and tortured by Rousseau, a French woman, looking for her child, Alex; She is the one who left the transmission
      • She was part of a science team that was shipwrecked during a storm; She says that The Others were "carriers" and that she hears them whisper in the jungle
      • Sayid steals Rousseau's map of the island and escapes; He hears crazy jungle whispering
  • Ethan appears and hunts with Locke and gives Hurley a bag of golf clubs
    • Hurley creates a 2-hole golf course, which cheers everyone up
  • Walt sneaks into the jungle and asks Locke to teach him to throw giant knives into trees
  • FLASHBACK: Sayid
    • Sayid is assigned to interrogate and torture Nadia, a former school-mate; They fall in love
    • After a month, Nadia still won't talk, so Sayid is ordered to execute her
      • Sayid kills a guard and shoots himself in order to stage Nadia's escape

Lost: 1x08 - Confidence Man

  • The transceiver was destroyed when Sayid was attacked; Sayid starts an investigation as to who did it
  • Sawyer catches Boone going through his stuff and kicks his ass; Boone was looking for Shannon's asthma medication
    • Sawyer asks Kate for a kiss in exchange for the inhalers; Kate refuses
    • Jack asks for the inhalers; Sawyer refuses; Jack punches him in the face
    • Sayid tortures Sawyer by forcing bamboo under his fingernails
    • Kate kisses Sawyer; Sawyer admits that he doesn't have the inhalers
    • Sayid blames Sawyer for destroying the transceiver; Sayid stabs Sawyer in the upper arm
    • Sayid leaves the camp because of what he did to Sawyer; He plans to explore the rest of the island
    • Sun tries to help a suffering Shannon using eucalyptus
  • Sawyer makes Kate read his letter:
    • A kid wrote the letter to a guy named Sawyer; Sawyer slept with the kid's mother and stole the father's money, causing the father to kill himself and his mother; The kid vowed to track down Sawyer
      • Kate realises Sawyer was around 8 when the letter was written and hence Sawyer wrote it, it wasn't written to him
      • Sawyer became the man he was hunting
  • Charlie convinces Claire to relocate to the caves after they share some imaginary peanut butter
  • FLASHBACK: Sawyer
    • Sawyer tried to con a woman named Jessica and her husband, but called it off when he found out they had a small son

  • Charlie suffers during his detox; Locke insists Charlie ask for his drugs 3 times, after which Locke will return them to Charlie
    • Charlie asks for the heroin 3 times; When Locke return it, Charlie throws it in the fire
  • Jack treats Charlie like a kid; Charlie confronts him in a cave; The cave collapses and Jack is trapped
    • Michael uses his construction skillz to lead the rescue attempt
    • Charlie goes in after him because he is small and wants to prove himself; He rescues Jack and relocates Jack's dislocated shoulder
  • Sayid sets up a system to find the source of the French transmission; He gets Boone and Kate to help
    • Sayid gets knocked unconscious by an unknown assailant when he starts to find the signal
  • FLASHBACK: Charlie
    • Charlie decided to quit Drive Shaft after confessing his latest sexual encounters to a priest
      • His brother, Liam, convinced him not to after Drive Shaft got signed to a record label
    • When Liam started taking over the band and doing drugs Charlie wanted to walk away from the band
      • Liam called Charlie useless; Charlie started doing heroin
    • Years later, Charlie asked Liam to join him on a reunion tour; Liam had settled down and wasn't interested; Charlie was still a junkie

  • Jin beats up Michael seemingly unprovoked; Sayid handcuffs Jin to some wreckage
    • Sun, speaking in English, explains the situation to Michael; Michael was unknowingly wearing Sun's father's watch; Michael frees Jin
  • Locke gets Charlie to give up his drugs in exchange for his missing guitar
  • Kate finds a couple of corpses near the waterfall; Jack estimates they have been dead for at least 50 years; They nickname them Adam and Eve
  • Jack wants to move camp to the waterfall; Sun, Jin, Charlie, Locke, and Hurley join Jack at the new camp; The rest, including Kate, stay on the beach
  • FLASHBACK: Sun
    • In order to marry Sun, Jin agreed to work for her father
    • Jin came home from "work" with blood on his hands - literally
    • Sun secretly learned English and planned to leave Jin at the airport before the Oceanic flight
      • At the last minute, Jin gives her a flower, which convinced her to stick around

  • Jack rescues Boone from drowning, who was trying to rescue a woman from drowning; The woman drowns
  • Jack continues to see the disappearing man, who turns out to be his dead father
    • He chases him into the jungle and finds a freshwater body and waterfall, along with a bunch of dolls, pieces of a plane, and his father's empty casket
  • The bottled water has run out; Claire passes out from the heat
    • Sun, Jin, Sawyer, and Boone are accused of stealing water
  • Jack gives the live together or die alone speech
  • FLASHBACK: Jack
    • As a child, Jack's father, who is a doctor, told him that he doesn't have what it takes to be a hero
    • Jack's mother asked him to bring his father back home from Australia
    • After arrival in Australia, Jack found out his father died of a heart attack, brought on by a crazy high blood alcohol content level

  • Jack decides the fuselage and all of its bodies needs to be burned
    • Claire plans a memorial service for the dead
  • Locke, Kate, and Michael go boar hunting as the food has run out; Locke kills one
    • The Monster corners Locke; Locke escapes and claims he didn't see anything
  • Sun babysits Walt, Charlie catches a fish for Shannon
  • Jack and Rose bond; Rose firmly believes that her husband, Bernard, is still alive
  • Jack is freaked when he sees a mysterious man on the beach
  • FLASHBACK: Locke
    • Locke worked in an office at a job he despised
      • He planned to go on a walkabout - a spiritual/hunting trip in the Australian Outback, but the expedition company didn't allow him to go because Locke is in a wheelchair
      • He regained the use of his legs immediately after the crash

  • Jack finds Kate's mugshot in the Marshal's jacket; Jack doesn't want to know what her crime was
  • Sayid, Kate, Shannon, Charlie, Sawyer, and Boone head back to camp
    • Sayid doesn't tell the rest about the French message; Kate tells Jack the truth
  • The Marshal is in a lot of pain and Jack can't do anything more for him
    • Sawyer shoots the Marshal to put him out of his misery, but he misses the heart and hits him in the lung, causing more suffering
    • Jack finishes the job of killing the Marshal
  • Locke gets Vincent to return; Locke gives Vincent to Michael to give to Walt
  • FLASHBACK: Kate
    • Kate worked as a farm hand for three months in Australia
      • The farmer tried to turn her in for a $23,000 reward; She tried to escape, but was caught by the Marshall anyhow

  • Sayid tries to fix the transceiver using his skillz learned as a communications officer in the Iraqi Republican Guard
    • Sayid decides to travel to higher ground to try to find a signal; Kate, Shannon, Charlie, Sawyer and Boone tag along
      • A polar bear attacks; Sawyer shoots it dead
        • He got the gun from the US Marshal who was on board
          • Kate was the Marshal's prisoner
        • The transceiver picks up a recorded message in French; Shannon translates it as a desperate call for help as all the others have been killed
          • Sayid calculates that it's been playing in a loop for 16 years and 5 months
  • Kate confronts Charlie about his trip to the cockpit's bathroom; Charlie lies
    • Charlie is a heroin addict; He was flushing his stash right before the crash
  • Sawyer and Sayid get into a fist fight; Sawyer had called Sayid a terrorist
  • Jack operates on the Marshal to remove the crazy shrapnel; Hurley tries to assist, but passes out at the sight of all the blood
  • Locke teaches Walt to play backgammon; Locke tells Walt a secret
  • Walt used to live in Australia with his mother, who died a couple of weeks ago
  • Jin tries to share his sushi, but only Claire accepts; It makes her baby kick a lot

  • Oceanic Flight 815 from Sydney, Australia to Los Angeles, USA crashes on a tropical island in the Pacific
    • The 48 crashed include Kate, Sawyer, Locke, Hurley, Sayid, Rose, and:
      • Jack is a doctor and bosses everyone around
      • Claire is pregnant
      • Sun and Jin are a married couple who only speak Korean
      • Charlie is in a rock band called Drive Shaft
      • Boone and Shannon are brother and sister
      • Michael and Walt are father and son; They have a dog named Vincent
    • At the crash site, Jack saves Rose using CPR and then saves Hurley and Claire from being crushed by a wing
    • Kate sews up a deep wound on Jack's back
  • The Monster makes a lot of noise and freaks all of the survivors out
  • Jack, Kate, and Charlie find the cockpit
    • Charlie goes in the plane's bathroom, raising Kate's curiosity
    • The severely-injured pilot explains that they were 1,000 miles off course and hence the search parties are looking for them in the wrong place
      • The Monster rips the pilot out of the cockpit, kills him, and leaves the body in a tree
        • Jack, Kate and Charlie escape with the non-working transceiver
